FALCONEER is looking for a professional, motivated and enthusiastic person to fill a position for a Software Application Engineer (Project Engineer). The applicant should have a working knowledge of Microsoft SQL database management and data communication programs such as OPC and Kepware to design software applications which are utilized by large industrial processes. The engineering equations utilized in each project will vary based on the needs of our clients. After analyzing our clients' unique requirements, the Software Application Engineer (Project Engineer) will design, test and evaluate the software using sophisticated computer technology. They will resolve critical issues and support product development through the testing phase of the various projects.
Because of our company's unique product, this position requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with knowledge of process control, including statistical process control. FALCONEER Technologies, LLC manufactures software that is applied in industries such as chemical/petrochemical plants, waste water treatment plants, and many industrial processing plants. Our clients need software solutions to manage processes which require a knowledge of chemical engineering. Thus, in order to design, configure and implement a relevant software product project, the Software Application Engineer (Project Engineer) must also have an understanding of the chemical processes that the software will govern. Further, the eventual users of the software will be industrial operators and chemical engineers.
For these reasons, the Software Application Engineer (Project Engineer) must have a background in Chemical Engineering and Process Control, as they will be applying this knowledge to configure all necessary chemical equations and algorithms in the software. The software will then continuously use these equations to analyze plant processes and generate much-needed information in real time for our clients' operators and engineers. An ability to understand and apply the fundamental first principles of chemical engineering will allow FALCONEER Technologies, LLC to produce better software and will strengthen our customer's industrial facilities.
In addition, because FALCONEER is a company with global markets, the applicant should be fluent in one or more languages and be willing and able to travel abroad.
