Fuzzy Logic Based Real-Time Predictive Process Fault Analysis

So how does FALCONEER work?  It’s leveraging the design information and how the plant should be working along with the information from the control system that is telling us how the plant is actually working. With this information FALCONEER can evaluate how the plant should be working per design or targeted operating conditions.  By comparing those two pieces of information through models, FALCONEER can help to identify whether or not the plant is working properly, the instruments are reading correctly and are validated or if there are faults, failures or abnormal issues.  Then the key is in a real-time manner to provide that advice to the end user or owner-operator via the digital dashboard.  The digital dashboard has all the features that engineers and operators come to expect (charting, reporting, emailing).

FALCONEER uses a patented methodology for performing automated process sensor validation and fault analysis. All that is required by this program are easily derivable models and heuristics of normal process operation. Our FALCONEER™ IV software engine then automatically creates and maintains all of the diagnostic patterns and rules necessary to perform its analysis on-line and in real time. It generates in real time intelligent alerts to the process operators whenever conditions warrant it, maximizing the time available to them to correct the underlying situation or intercede. It identifies when the process is running optimally and under control, reducing costs associated with process inefficiencies, downtime, and product reject. Finally, it assures proper sensor information and process conditions in real-time, allowing for preventative maintenance, validation, and regulatory compliance cost savings.
